- The RMB 80 million investment represents a significant upgrade to its China supply chain capabilities.
- The highly automated, AI‑driven facility is designed to support 24/7 unmanned operations and targets LEED Gold certification standards.
Singapore and Shanghai, 7 May 2026 – GLP China is pleased to welcome PepsiCo, a global food and beverage leader to its new smart logistics centre at GLP Linfang Songjiang Logistics Park (“GLP Linfang”) in Greater Shanghai.
The facility leased to PepsiCo is operated in partnership with Huizhong Supply Chain, PepsiCo’s third‑party logistics provider, combining Huizhong’s domestic supply chain expertise with GLP’s full‑lifecycle capabilities spanning project development, asset management and smart, low‑carbon operations.
PepsiCo will be one of the tenants at the 210,000 sqm modern logistics complex which comprises two high‑specification, multi‑storey warehouses. With a total investment of RMB 80 million, the project incorporates advanced automation and digital warehouse management solutions to improve supply chain and operational efficiency.
The project will integrate advanced technological solutions, including four‑way shuttle systems for high‑density storage, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and intelligent sorting systems, designed to enable 24/7 unmanned operations. The centre is designed with approximately 40,000 storage units, representing one of the larger applications of such technologies within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
GLP Linfang is built to LEED Gold certification standards and will be equipped with rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, energy‑efficient building materials and rainwater recycling systems, supporting low‑carbon and resource‑efficient operations.

Intelligent handling and sorting technologies within the warehouse
Li Youlin, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, Asia Pacific and Greater China at PepsiCo, said
“Once completed, this smart logistics centre is expected to be among PepsiCo’s most advanced facilities globally in terms of digitalisation and automation. With peak monthly handling capacity exceeding 10 million cases, it will set a benchmark for the deep integration of technology and sustainability within our supply chain operations.”
“GLP is a key partner in advancing our smart logistics strategy. From site selection and planning through to execution, the GLP team has provided robust support to ensure the smooth implementation of the project. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to high industry standards and sustainable, intelligent supply chain operations,” said Dong Jinyu, Chairman of Huizhong Supply Chain Group.
With direct access to an extensive expressway network and proximity to the Shanghai–Suzhou–Huzhou high‑speed railway, GLP Linfang occupies a strategic location as a key logistics hub connecting south‑west Shanghai with the wider Yangtze River Delta, supporting PepsiCo’s regional distribution requirements.
The development reflects rising demand for automated, high‑efficiency logistics infrastructure as consumer goods companies continue to upgrade supply chains to support omnichannel distribution, operational resilience and sustainability objectives.
